PHNOM PENH –Koh Dach Island

PHNOM PENH –Koh Dach Island tour &Bicycle Rickshaw City Tour In the morning, hop on a Remork(Tuk Tuk) toKoh Dach, asmall Islandfamouslyknown as the ‘Silk Island’of the Mekong River, withplenty of silk weaving workshops located on the Island. You will instantly feel taken away from the hustle and bustle of the city, as the Island is a true representation of village life in Cambodia. As you ride the tuk-tukaround the island, youwill ride past houses on stilts, schools, small markets. Get a chance to stopat a stunning Pagodas to see the elaborate relief paintings depicting Buddhist stories. The Island is also home to plantations of Taro, Ginger, Rice and Corn, as well as many tropical fruits including Banana, Papaya, Dragon Fruit, Jackfruit and Rambutan. Then finally, visit a silk workshop to witness the skilful art of silk weaving. Lunchwill be served by a local host on the islandIn the afternoon, enjoy a city tour on a Bicycle Rickshaw, a very charming way to discover the sites of the city. First visit the Royal Palace built in 1866 by King Norodom. Within the grounds seethe Silver Pagoda with a floor of over 5,000 silver tiles. We then head to the National Museum, which houses the world's foremost collection of Khmer art. Before ending our day, you can then opt to visit the small hill within the city, Wat Phnom and learom and learn how the city got its name

PHNOM PENH

PHNOM PENH–‘Bear Care Tour’ Free the Bears at Phnom Tamao (F/D)

A great day for animal lovers as today,we will get up-closewith Cambodia’s Asiatic Bears at the Phnom TamaoWildlife Rescue Centre. Get behind the scene and meet with the passionate staff to learn about their projects and their efforts to protect the threatened population of the bears and other exotic animals. Head out early for a full day trip to Phnom TamaoWilife Rescue Centre (approx. 1hr from Phnom Penh). Meet with the staff for an introduction of today’s ‘Bear Care Tour’. Begin bywalking the 7 hectare of tranquil forested compound alongside a caretaker. Get behind the scene and join the team feed the bears. You will see over a hundred bears here that’s been rescued from poachers. You will also see other animals like Gibbons and Elephants and many more (around 12,000 animals) gettingrehabilitatedand cared for here.After your hard day’s work, enjoy a delicious picnic lunch at a picturesque bamboo hut. After lunch, you have more time to explore the grounds with a wildlife expert. This unique experience contributes directly towards helping care for the animals in the centre and it is an incredible way to get up-close to Cambodia’s diverse wildlife! Transfer back to your hotel late in the afternoon. Evening is free at leisure.

Day 4
PHNOM PENH –SIEM REAP

In the morning head to our vehicle for a road trip to Siem Reap. Along the way, we will take you to visit the infamous Skuon Market (Spiderville). Perhaps one of the most unusual markets in the world due to the spider snacks overflowing on large trays, some the size of a grown man’s hand. On the way we will also see the Stonemasons at work when reach Kampong Thom. On arrival, check in to at the Bong Thom Forest Lodge, located ca. 25 km outside Siem Reap in the country side. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the Lodge’s swimming pool with a spectacular view over the surrounding area.Dinner is served at a traditional wooden house restaurant at the Lodge.

Day 5
SIEM REAP–Banteay Srei & Phare Circus Show

Enjoy breakfast at the Lodge. Start our morning tour with an Ox Cartride to a nearby village tovisit a family producing palm sugar. Witnesstheruralside of Cambodia and learn about a day in a life of ahardworkingfarmer. VisitBanteay SreiButterfly Centre (BBC). Like the Forest Lodge & Home Stay the Butterfly Centre provides support for the local villagers and conservation projects.Lunch at the Bong Thom Forest Lodge.In the afternoon visit Banteay Srei Temple. Banteay Sreiknown as the ‘Citadel ofVictory’ wasconsecrated in 967 A.D. This was the only major temple at Angkor not built by a monarch.its construction is credited to a courtier named Yajnavaraha, who was a scholar and a philanthropistwho also was a counsellorto King Rajendravarman.Prinmarily builtin red sandstone, with elaborateanddecorative wall carvingsstill observable in fine details today. On the way back we will see Banteay Samre temple. Constructed around the same time as Angkor Wat, the style of the towers and balustradesbear strong resemblance to the towers of Angkor Wat and even more so to Khmer temple of Phimai in Thailand. Many of the carvings are in excellent condition

In the evening you will enjoy a spectacular show, the famousPhare Circus Show. Uniquely Cambodian, and daringly modern, it is rated as Siem Reap's most unique, authenticandtop-ratedevening entertainment. More than just a circus, Phare performers use theatre, music, dance and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories; historical, folk and modern. The young circus artists will astonish you with their energy, emotion, enthusiasm and talent (there are NO animal performances at Phare Circus).

Day 6
Ankor Wat

We begin with a pre-dawn departure (4.30 to 5.00 am depending on the time of year) from your hotel to be in time forsunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the great temple in darkness (please bring a torch) from the little-visited eastern side and walk alongthehoary cloistered corridors past the longest stretch of bas-relief carvings in the world. Soak up the atmosphere inAngkorat dawn, from the edge of one of the ancient library pools. Afterwards, we’ll explore more of the great temple’s interior, spending a thorough 2hours discovering the corridors, central chambers and upper terraces of this great temple. Your expert local guide will decipher the myriad of stories behind the bas-relief carvings. Wewillend ourmorning sunrise tourwith breakfast outside the temple (take away, from your hotel).After a short rest, continue the morning by driving through Angkor Thom city. Visit many of the finest Temples of King Jayavarman VII, who ruled from 1181 to 1220. At the Southern Gate of Angkor Thom, you will marvel at the imposing 23m (75-foot) high stone faces of Avalokiteshvara, featured in the Tomb Raider movie. At the centre of this citadel lies thestate temple of Bayon, built at the end of the 12th century, is adorned with hundreds of gigantic stone faces. Next,visit the sites ofthe Terrace of Elephantsand the Terrace of the Leper King. Later in the day, you will discover the most famous temples from the 11th century: Baphuon, Phimeanakas.Take some rest and cool down with afreshcoconut or freshly squeezedsugar cane juice.For lunch, you will get served an authentic Khmer Dish called“Nom Banh Jok”, a local Khmer noodle soup, famous from Preah Dak area. Then, visit Ta Prohm,left untouched in its natural state.Shrouded ina dense jungle with gigantic roots, branches and leaves intertwined with walls, roof and terraces creating an astonishing merger of nature and man-made architecture.

Day 7
SIEM REAP–Countryside Experience (short Bike Tour)

Around 08:00, you will be picked up from your hotel to enjoy acountryside day tour. We head out of Siem Reap (the city) and drive to the beautiful countryside area. There, we will cycle along the red soil roads through some splendid villages. On our way,stop by alocal fish market where you can watch traditional Khmer daily fish trading. After the ride, we take a small break to get a refreshing and well-deserved drink.Our journey carries on with avisit to one of the most impressive floating villagesinCambodia, Kampong Khleang. We will board a boat and discover the village and the astonishing flooded forest.After, enjoy aKhmer lunch at friendly local home. Then, get back aboard to reach a pagoda located on an island. We always have a great time there, walking by the monk school and watching monks in their day-to-day routine.

After head to the Vietnamese floating village. The Vietnamese village is not like the rest of Kompong Khleang, in that it is not composed of stilt houses. The houses there are built on floating objects and therefore float on the Tonlé Sap. The Vietnamese village moves along the river (and sometimes up to the lake) according to the season and is something you've most likely never seen before. You'll get to see the floating school, hospital and local shops (they even have a hairdresser!)An amazing sight, we promise!We then get back to the bus and start driving back to Siem Reap through other rural villages. We stop in one of them so you can get to interact with villagers. If we're lucky, we get to see some of Cambodia’s famous water-bird species. The Tonle Sap is one of the most important sanctuaries for rare bird species in Southeast Asia and in some places (like in Prek Toal) you can find significant number of rare breedsgathered in one small area such as the storks, pelicans and other species. . Transfer back to Siem Reap approximately around 17:00.

SIEM REAP –Adventure at Kulen Elephant Forest

From morning to sundown, spend the entire day with thewonderful elephantsat Kulen ElephantForest.Take the time to relax in nature while learning how to feed and care for theelephants. A combination of morning and afternoon sessions, this experience will leave you feeling completely immersed in the elephants everyday life.Experience lunch in the forest with the elephants surrounded by wilderness.Upon return to base camp, say goodbye to our large residents before returning back totown.
